Doctor’s Best® Saw Palmetto contains Prosterol®, a patented standardised extract from the Saw Palmetto fruit (Serenoa repens). To ensure maximum potency and effectiveness, it delivers a high concentration of active fatty acids and sterols (85 – 95%), including beta-sitosterol, campasterol, stigmasterol, oleic acid, lauric acid and others. Expertly formulated to support prostate and urinary health, these compounds help healthy hormone metabolism in the prostate.

How does it work?
The prostate naturally enlarges with age and compresses the urethra resulting in difficulty with urination, where people can experience a sense of urgency and increased desire to urinate, along with difficulty passing urine. Weak and interrupted flow can also be experienced. Saw Palmetto supports urinary tract health and smooth muscle tissue relaxation in the bladder for healthy urinary flow and comfort.
Saw Palmetto supports healthy prostate function and may help with frequent urination, weak urine flow, and nocturia (needing to urinate multiple times at night).
Saw Palmetto also supports men with healthy hormone balance and male pattern hair loss. Women may also benefit from supplementing with Saw Palmetto for hair loss driven by an imbalance in androgen hormones (like testosterone) without affecting libido or sexual function.
