Gaia Herbs Echinacea Goldenseal is a synergistic blend of three immune-supporting herbs, organically grown Echinacea, with the berberine-rich antimicrobial support of Goldenseal and St John’s Wort for support against viral pathogens. This formula features two of the three main species of Echinacea, Echinacea purpurea (common or broad-leaved purple coneflower) and Echinacea angustifolia (narrow-leaved purple coneflower) to garner the broadest spectrum of phytoconstituents available from both plant species. The different parts of the Echinacea plant yield different plant constituents and therefore also offer different health-supporting benefits. This formula features both the root, seed and aerial parts to provide the most comprehensive coverage.

• Echinacea - contains compounds called RxA Factors, which represent the alkylamide fractions known as isobutylamides. RxA Factors are found in the roots of E. angustifolia and purpurea and also the mature ripe seed of E. purpurea. RxA Factors help maintain a healthy cytokine response. RxA Factors supports the tissues of the sinuses and throat that are exposed to airborne stressors and help support an acutely challenged immune system.

• Goldenseal – The known actions of Goldenseal's constituents are vast, supporting the immune system, digestive system, cardiovascular system, nervous system and mucosal membranes of the body in general. This wonderfully versatile herb provides essential first-aid support for acute immune challenges of the upper respiratory areas of ears, nose and throat, as well as the digestive tract, particularly where this has a pathogenic origin. This is thanks to the high levels of berberine constituents found within the plant's root that provide antimicrobial support. Goldenseal also helps to tone and restore the healthy function of mucous membranes in the aftermath of an immune challenge.
• St John’s Wort – One of the most widely studied herbs, St John’s Wort is better known for its benefits supporting a healthy mood and positive outlook, but that’s not all this multi-talented herb can do! The beautiful yellow flowers of St John’s Wort contain many potent antioxidants including rutin, quercetin and lutein. St John’s wort also supports the body against viral pathogens as well as supporting natural tissue recovery processes.

Suggested Use

Recommended intake:

Adults: Take 2 capsules three times daily between meals.
