Milk Thistle for long-term liver support

Part of the sunflower and daisy plant family, Milk Thistle gets its name from the milky white sap released from the leaves of the plant when crushed. As a native of Europe and the Mediterranean, now naturalised around the world, Milk Thistle has been used in Ancient Roman, Greek and Middle Eastern traditions to support liver and digestive health.

In more modern times, numerous scientific studies have explored the effects of Milk Thistle and a group of its active plant constituents called silymarins.
