Are Your Nitric Oxide Levels Depleted?
HumanN Nitric Oxide Indicator Strips offer a simple way to check if you’re consuming enough dietary nitrate in your diet. For many of us, getting enough of the good stuff through our diet is difficult and for others, the enzyme needed to convert our dietary nutrients into Nitric Oxide simply is no longer present. Nitric Oxide Indicator Strips can give an accurate indication of whether the diet is lacking and if the body is NO deficient.
How do the Nitric Oxide Indicator Strips work?
Once nitric oxide is produced by the endothelial cells or other cells in the body it is oxidized to nitrite and nitrate. The Nitric Oxide Indicator Strips measure the amount of nitric oxide that is recirculated through the saliva. This measure represents the total systemic bioavailability of nitric oxide in your body at that time.
Know Your Nitric Oxide Levels in 3 Simple Steps
Nitric Oxide Indicator Strips capture a simple and non-invasive saliva sample to determine the concentration of nitrite in your saliva, thereby determining your current Nitric Oxide levels in the body. They offer an accurate, cost-efficient and convenient measure of total body NO availability and indicate the body’s ability to produce NO. Results are easy to read and are measured by comparing the indicator strip to a colour-coded chart.
Step 1 – Ideal testing time is first thing in the morning after an overnight fast. Wash your hands and gather saliva on your fingertip.
Step 2 – Place the saliva on the indicator strip pad. Don’t put the strip in your mouth.
Step 3 – Compare your results to the colour chart provided. The lighter pink, the more Nitric Oxide deficient you are.
Understanding your results
If the test strips register the lightest colour, this indicates a low or depleted Nitric Oxide status. To support this situation, it is recommended to use HumanN Neo40® Daily at a dose of 1 tablet twice daily for 30 days. Ideally, you should be testing your NO levels daily when first supplementing with Neo40® but at a minimum ensure that this is 2-3 times per week. The goal is to gain and maintain optimal readings for 2 weeks. Once achieved, reduce the dose of Neo40® to 1 tablet per day.
Test strips registering the darkest colour on the chart indicate optimal Nitric Oxide status. To maintain levels of this important health molecule, supplement with Neo40® once daily. Measure results at least once per week to monitor. NO levels naturally decline in the body with age, and other factors can also interfere with the body’s natural production of NO.
