What is Saw Palmetto used for?
As a member of the Palmaceae/Arecaceae plant family, Saw Palmetto has enjoyed over 150 years of traditional use by the tribes of North America as a complete genital and urinary tonic for men, as well as providing support to women as well with specific health concerns. It’s even been noted in traditional use for providing support for the upper respiratory tract.
In modern times, Saw Palmetto has been the focus of numerous scientific studies that have indicated its use in supporting healthy prostate function for men. This is especially relevant for men over the age of 50 to support the maintenance of prostate health as the prostate naturally enlarges with advancing age leading to issues with urination urgency, frequency and flow.
Saw Palmetto supports normal testosterone balance in men with research demonstrating an effect on the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme pathway involved in converting testosterone into a more potent form called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT has been shown to be involved in the natural enlargement of the prostate and its associated urinary issues.

Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens) berry supercritical CO2 extract (160 mg fatty acids from Saw Palmetto berry extract) 188 mg. Sunflower seed lecithin (150 mg fatty acids from Sunflower seed lecithin) 350 mg. Other Ingredients: Vegan capsule (hypromellose).
