What is Berberine?
Berberine is a potent plant alkaloid constituent found in a variety of traditionally-used herbs such as Goldenseal, Barberry, Oregon Grape and Coptis (also called Goldthread). It has a rich history of use in traditional herbalism for supporting microbial balance of the digestive tract as well as metabolic support for healthy blood sugar regulation and healthy weight maintenance. Enzymedica source berberine from the Indian Barberry plant, which grows abundantly, is naturally sustainable and rich in valuable phytochemicals.

Formulated with the patented Berbevis® berberine phytosome validated by research to increase bio-absorption 9.6x compared with standard raw berberine extracts. The Berbevis® phytosome contains a matrix of ingredients to support greater uptake of the active constituent, with an extract standardised to contain 28-34% berberine, pea protein which functions as a carrier to support absorption, and Grape Seed extract to support the intestinal lining for greater tolerability.
Ingredients
Berbevis® Berberine Phytosome (from the roots of Berberis aristata, standardised to contain 28-34% berberine) 275 mg. Other ingredients: rice hulls, rice bran extract, 100% vegetarian capsule (cellulose, water).
Does not contain: Gluten, dairy, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, sesame or artificial colours and flavours.

Recommended intake:
Take 1 capsule, twice daily, with meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
