Gutsi® Good Guts contains key amino acids and polyphenols which support postbiotic production for a strong gut barrier.
Product overview
Gutsi® Good Guts provides smart nutritional support for strong, healthy guts. Upgrade your gut health with postbiotic producing nutrition! Essential for supporting a healthy gut barrier, key amino acids and plant-based polyphenolic extracts provide the building blocks for a balanced microbiome. Did you know that a healthy gut mucosal barrier system is foundational to any (and every!) gut health regime? The health and integrity of the critically important gut barrier, comprising a thick, protective mucous layer, a tightly integrated cellular lining and balanced microbiome, is vital for normal digestive function, immune health, and overall wellbeing. Fuel your gut and build a better biome.
- Supports postbiotic production
- Supports microbial diversity
- Supports a strong and healthy gut barrier
- Gut-immune axis support
Gut barrier function is essential for microbiome health
A healthy gut is a dynamic environment with three core characteristics: a balanced microbiome, a profuse and substantial mucous layer, and a robust cellular intestinal barrier. A host of daily assaults, from poor diets, stress and overtraining to excess alcohol, pesticide residues and toxin exposure, can compromise one or more of these areas! When the gut barrier system is impaired, the protective mucous layer breaks down and pathogenic bacterial species can begin to dominate, which can lead to gut, digestive, and immune function issues. Good Gut™s unique blend of plant extracts and amino acids support the production of health-supporting postbiotic substances including the short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) butyrate, propionate, and acetate that support healthy cytokine balance, levels of "bad" bacteria, and healthy gut barrier function.
Building blocks for great guts!
L-proline, L-serine, L-threonine & L-cysteine
These four key amino acids are the building blocks for a thick and healthy gut barrier. Playing an important role in the production of intestinal mucosa, they have been shown to support mucin2 production and mucin synthesis in the colon. A thick and healthy mucosal barrier naturally repels toxins and supports immune function.
Citrus sinensis & citrus paradisi extracts (MicrobiomeX®)
This first-in-class Flavobiotic® is a natural citrus extract rich in polyphenols that supports digestive health and healthy gut barrier function. A scientific study using 500 mg of citrus fruit extract found a significant increase in short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) composition, suggesting that citrus polyphenols support the balance of microbial composition in the gut.
Polyphenol Blend (Oxxynea®)
A unique blend of researched polyphenols from Olive leaf extract, Grape seed extract, Pomegranate extract, Green tea extract, Grapefruit extract, Bilberry extract, White grape extract, Red grape extract, Citrus hesperidin, this polyphenol concentrate supports the growth of lactobacilli and bifidobacterium in the colon, as well as cytokine balance in the GI tract.
Postbiotic nutrition for pros (and the rest of us, too!)
Good Guts contains Flavobiotics® (a fancy name for citrus flavonoids) and concentrated polyphenolic Mediterranean plant extracts that support the production of short-chain fatty acids including butyrate, an essential fuel for intestinal epithelial cells. When healthy, these cells secrete a thick, protective mucous layer as part of the gut barrier system to shield the body from pathogens and toxins, as well as nourishing the gut™s microbiome. The 4 principle amino acids – L-proline, L-serine, L-threonine and L-cysteine – play an important role in the production of the mucosal barrier, supporting the manufacture of the mucous layer that naturally repels toxins to support healthy immune function.
One of the best-known benefits of postbiotics is their ability to shift our gut microbiome towards a healthy composition. Research has shown that beneficial postbiotic compounds can support the growth, activities, and functions of probiotics and gut microbiota. You know what that means, right? Taking Good Guts helps support GREAT guts!
How Good Guts fits into the Gut Reset protocol
Good Guts is introduced in week 5 of the 60-day Gut Reset protocol. A powerhouse on its own in supporting beneficial gut health, Good Guts delivers cumulative benefits when paired along SporeBiotic™ and Gut Food to support a strong, protective gut barrier system and diverse microbiome.
